Hi there! I'm Alyssa Ashmore, MS, RDN, CSSD, LD - the author, recipe maker, food tester, and toddler chaser behind Passionate Portions Nutrition & Wellness. My goal is to help you realize that food is a ticket to freedom in living your dream life, not something keeping you from it. And I strongly believe that a world without carbs, coffee, or chocolate is one we don't want to live in.

You see, I fully understand what it's like to be bound to food rules and obsessed with chasing that "perfect body" - and how this endless pursuit really gets us nowhere. I also understand the pure JOY of what it's like to have total FREEDOM from this life, and it's my mission to help you claim the same...

philosophy

I believe nutrition is a vehicle to the life you want to live, not an end goal. All foods can fit (yes, including your favorites!), nutrition should not be an obsession, and our bodies are something to nurture, appreciate, and love - at any weight.
